Spicy Serrano Queso Dip

3 tablespoons unsalted butter 

4 tablespoons all purpose flour 

1 cup whole milk 

1 cup heavy cream 

1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese 

1 cup sharp white cheddar cheese 

½ cup cream cheese, softened 

1 bottle Serrano & Green Tomato hot sauce 

½ tablespoons chili powder 

1 tablespoon granulated garlic 

½ tablespoon granulated onion 

kosher salt to taste 

ground black pepper to taste 


1. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat gently melt the butter. Add flour and whisk until well combined. Cook for 3-4 minutes until a golden color develops. 

2. Slowly add milk and heavy cream, whisking consistently until well combined and smooth. Reduce the heat to low and bring toa light simmer, stirring often. 

3. Add the shredded jack, cheddar, cream cheese, hot sauce and spices, whisk until well combined and smooth. 

4. Remove from heat and serve immediately with freshly made corn chips or use on tacos, burritos and nachos.
